Nowadays many of the Primary / Secondary School they do not know what is ISO and how to get the certification, only they are thinking, just take the one step ahead and get the ISO certification.

Now I would like to explain to you that how to get the ISO Certification for Schools.
First Step (Documentation): Develop the Quality Manual of School in line with ISO 9001:2008 requirements. Establish the School Quality policy and objective. Set the role and responsibility of each person within the institute. Provide the awareness training to each person on ISO 9001 requirements, Quality policy & objective, process, procedure, criteria Teaching Plan, Organization chart of School, School Layout and Various Plan. Conduct the Internal Audit and Management review meeting on the implemented QMS Management System.
Second Step (Identification of School Process): Generally school process are Administering services, Applicants Process, Allocating spaces for classrooms, laboratories, workshops, libraries, and other similar spaces, Allocating teaching loads, Assessing performance of Student ,Designing and developing validation results of curricula or syllabus ,Developing course catalogues ,Developing course material ,Hiring of administrative and teaching staff, Marketing and recruitment process, Providing security, safety and civil protection services ,Selecting and enrolling learners.

Achievement of quality objective ,Administration of enrolments and assessments ,Annual self-assessments, Applicable laws and regulations ,Classroom observations, Communication plan for reviewing and follow-up ,Complaints ,Control of design and development changes in curricula, course calendars, timetables and prerequisites ,Course notes and examination papers ,Course design report ,Course Development Report ,Exams, tests or paperwork performed by the learner ,List of instructors' names ,Nonconforming educational service ,Study plans and curriculum.

Third Step (ISO Certification Process): Generally certification body is sending the Application form for getting the client information related to the school (e.g, Total Effective No. of Personnel, Work activity, Site/ Location, address, Contact detail with Email ID).
From this information they will calculate the No. of MD will be audited and after that, they will send the quotation, after approval of Quotation from your side they will communicate with you for the date of auditing for the stage 1 audit.
I would like to explain to you that generally in stage audit auditors are auditing the preparedness for the stage 2 audit, in stage 1 audit they are auditing the documentation part where you already prepare the Manual, Procedure, Internal audit, MRM and organization chart and process implementation as discussed in above.
After Recommendation by the auditor for the stage 1 audit, now you can go for the stage 2 audit
Now Certification body again they will communicate with you for the stage 2 audit
Similarly In stage 2 audit auditor is audited the process activity of the school, if auditor is raised any observation /NC then take the corrective and preventive action of the NC/ Observation.
Fourth Step (Technical Review / Certification decision): After the audit auditor is prepared the report and submit the report for the Technical review and Technical reviewer are recommended for the certification. After the commercial finalization will get the certificate within 10 working days.
Fifth Step (Certification Cost): The ISO cost of certification is not fixed it varies from organization to organization and certification body in general practice the cost of certification shall be derived considering, Number of employees (Full time/ Part time/ Subcontracted), Number of Sites or Branch of School Education is covered under the certification, number of working shift.
Sixth Step (Selection of CertificationBody): There are many Certification body in India - but it is advised to select that certification body - who have the accreditation from accreditation body - who is a member of IAF. The second parameter for selection of ISO certification body is the cost of certification and if possible the service of certification body is available to in your area/city.
Seventh Step ( ISO Certification Training): Generally most of the people get the ISO Training from the consultancy for the implementation of the Quality Management system within the organization are but they not recognized as the Body, Our advice the is to get the training from the recognized body near to your city, Recognized body will provide the five day Training and provide the proper knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Training for the implementation.
The recognized body will provide the certificate and this certificate is valid worldwide.
