ABOUT ISO 22000
ISO 22000 specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.
It is applicable to all organizations, regardless of size, which are involved in any aspect of the food chain and want to implement systems that consistently provide safe products. The means of meeting any requirements of ISO 22000 can be accomplished through the use of internal and/or external resources.
ISO 22000 also known as FSMS (Food Safety management System) Compliance with the HACCP principles – Hazard Analysis, Identify Critical Control Points (CCP’s), Establish Critical Links, Monitor CCP’s, Establish Corrective Action, Record Keeping, Verification.
Benefits of ISO 22000 Certification
n to plan, implement, operate, maintain and update a food safety management system aimed at providing products that, according to their intended use, are safe for the consumer,

n Resource optimization – internally and along the food chain
n All control measures are subjected to hazard analysis
n Better planning - less post process verification
n Improved documentation
n Systematic management of prerequisite programmes
n Increased due diligence

OHSAS 18001CERTIFICATION
ABOUT OHSAS 18001
OHSAS 18001 is an international standard giving requirements related to health and safety management systems. It enables an organization to have control over, and knowledge of all relevant hazards resulting from normal operations and abnormal situations and improve its performance.
OHSAS 18001 has been developed to be compatible with the ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) management systems standards, in order to facilitate the integration of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems by organizations, should they wish to do so.
The (OHSAS) specification gives requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, to enable an organization to control its OH&S risks and improve its performance. It does not state specific OH&S performance criteria, nor does it give detailed specifications for the design of a management system.
Benefits of OHSAS 18001 Certification
- Improve efficiency and consequently reduce accident and production time loss
- Increase control and reduction of hazards through the setting of objectives, targets and evolved responsibility
- Demonstrate legal compliance
- Increase reputation for safety and occupational health
- Reduce insurance premiums
- Is an integral part of a sustainability strategy
- Encourage more effective internal and communication
- Improve your safety culture
