ISO 9001 is an ISO standard that covers the requirements an organization ought to maintain within its quality system for attaining the certification of ISO 9001. The ISO 9000 family of standards consists of several different documents, but amongst all those ISO 9001 is the only standard in the 9000 family that requires certification. The current version is ISO 9001:2015 that covers the requirements which an organization must maintain in order to keep their quality system updated and to attain the ISO 9001:2015 certification. The ISO 9001:2015 Certification is a newer revised version of Quality Management Systems (QMS) standard that was published on 15 September 2015, as the 4th edition of ISO 9001 standard. This new QMS has been made to replace the ISO:2008 and after 3 years of the publication of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 9001:2008 will not remain valid.

QMS Conformance Responsibility

A team or several employees need to make sure that the company processes are being adhered with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. This is an extremely important step which should be catered in the beginning itself before the implementation of QMS, but this responsibility carries further as the QMS process is improved and maintained over time. With advancement in responsibilities taken, someone needs to ensure that the changes and processes do not lead to the removal of essential requirements of ISO 9001:2015 certification .

Process Conformance Who will be to ensuring that the processes used in your business results in the outputs that they were intended to provide? This process conformance is mostly done with the assignment of the process owners who are suggested to identify key performance indicators, often referred to as KPIs that tell them if the process is working as expected or not.

Reporting of QMS Performance
The management is required to review and check the performance of the Quality Management Systems, but the question arises who will gather the information and report on it? This ISO 9001:2015 also includes reporting about things like posting of information for employees so that they know how well their processes are doing.
